What does Gundogan actually do?

He's bang average. Can't defend, can't score. I don't know why he's starting games.

Time to move on?

I didn't like him but he's shown he works hard recently. I think he's fine as a squad player.

He has a lot of skill, which we see now and again, but he has absolutely no drive whatsoever, you never see him running at the opposition, I’m not keen and he’s had plenty of time, play Foden instead.

Can’t score? Are you sure about that?

To be fair to Gundo, it's not his game to run at the oppo.

I'd love to see a bit more from him, but he's not been our worst player over the last few weeks. Like I said, he's a decent squad player.

Well said Mase.

Fed up with these witch hunts.

He's so poor even Barcelona want to sign him.

Get a grip!

Can't use that, Barca signed Paulinho

Agree on the second point though.

Can't score? He has a better goal per minute than both Silvas so far in the league this season.

He's not crap, he can't play Ferno' s role, to be fair not many players around the world can. He's coming under alot of flak, I suppose when things are not going well, some supporters will always look for a scapegoat. He's job is to keep the ball and keep recycling it rather than defend or create attacks. For the record he's got a devastating delivery from set pieces.

Freekicks, yes. Corners recently have been absolutely awful! Not just Gundo, but we've constantly hit the first man as if it's the Pearce days and Barton is taking everything.

Let's not forget that it's not just about the taker, the lack of desire to get there first from those in the box plays it's part too.

There would be plenty of teams would take him if he were for sale. Does that make him a poor player? No!!!

Can't score? One of his strengths is creeping into the area unnoticed.

Not the main manor attack or defence in midfield, but a find auxiliary player if the balance around him is right.

Similar to Lampard, creeps in the box with the cloak of invisibility on.

His pass completion is outstanding. He ghosts into the area and had scored some great goals and he has a reasonable eye for a good pass

Since his injuries, I feel he’s afraid to put a tackle in. In midfield I don’t think he moves around enough when off the ball, making himself available for a quick pass and talking of quick passes, I just don’t think he does it often passing side to side or backwards and he certainly doesn’t drive us forward or provide an urgency

Defensively he as useful as Yaya was

In matches when we’re well infront he’s s great assest, but as a starter or if we need to chase a game he’s not the player we need on the pitch

I’m not witch hunting, just saying that I’m not impressed despite his obvious skills (praise). Ferna is a defensive midfielder, but drives at the opponent and goes past players, why on Earth is it not Gundo’s job to drive at players, time and time again you see him with the ball at his feet in space and he almost always goes for the easy side pass, I just urge him to have more ambition and we’d see a very different player, I repeat it’s not a witch hunt just an observation !
