Centurions v Murderers PL score prediction

Postby nottsblue » Wed Jan 02, 2019 5:19 pm

The biggest and most important game of the year so far!

Seriously though, it’s a must not lose for us. A win is obviously preferable but a draw is not the end of the world. But a defeat leaves us facing a very tall mountain with all the momentum heading back down the East Lancs road.

We are the home team. The onus is on us to get a result so I want us to grasp the nettle and leave nothing in the dressing room. Nothing less than 100% from every single man will do for me.

A tight game and one with goals in I think.

Heart says 2-1 City, Silva to score first with a Jesus winner. At the moment the head says different but we’ll go with the heart

3 -0 City without Kompany

3- 2 If Kompany plays.

Taking off the blue tinted specs for a while. And it's very difficult to predict the outcome of this game.
For me it will depend upon what defence we deploy.
If zinch is at LB I will worry, he's a great lad and all of that, but a left back he's is not. Especially in a huge game. He's just too lightweight.
Many have said that Danilo has to play there and concentrate on defending. Let sane and sterling worry about the bylines.
If we get the team selection right then a 2-1 to us if not could be a long night and a pretty sour one on here!!

5-0 City Aguero.......with 11 of theirs on the pitch.....just to show that last year was no fluke. I firmly believe we are better than them in almost every department and I just want to shut the fucking media up and bring them down to Earth.....come on boys !!!!

Midfield: Our first choice is superb - Brown, David S, Fern. It is Liverpool's weakest area.
Attack: Slight advantage to Liverpool (they can be more clinical) Sterling, Kun, Sane. Vs. Salah, Firminiho, Mane
Defence: Our weakest area. Liverpool's most consistent and strongest area this season.

I expect us to control midfield, creating goal chances and limiting the number of Liverpool attacks.
Therefore, Liverpool will need to be clinical and sharp to convert this reduced number of chances.
They won't be clinical or sharp enough (and will not get the soft penalties to compensate).

City to win: 3 - 0 (Kun)

p.s. Midfield rustiness and match fitness is a worry but Pep and staff will manage that.
