Might not that be a popular opinion, but we need to think very smart what will be the approach in this competition.
I want it, no questions asked, but we are still in 4 competitions and our squad is not fit enough to win them all. So, my 2 cents, we should sacrifice it.

Oh ffs !!!
Players are buzzing , adrenaline has kicked in and the momentum is back with us . Easy week ahead but big games , it is just how you want it , almost perfect! Big Dave needs another couple of run outs next week did fuck all surprisingly last night maybe needs more game time , Walker has fell out of favour after his gash performance versus palace and Jesus desperately needs games and to start scoring again .Gundogan will get game time also plus Muric and Foden ........ fuck me some team there and KDB needs a game aswell
Are you fucking serious ??? PMSL

In truth I don't know what Luke Bolton does but I had to look on the squad list for number eleven.
What was that other little kid called who came on for a bit in the Cup and looked like he'd played for ever? Sanchez??

Luke, played at right back in preseason.

Cheers, pal.
I am more curious about Lukas Nmecha. I was really curious about him, looked promising, but I saw a few weeks ago that he is having a poor loan spell at Preston.
Do we have any you forward from the second team that could get a start? Maybe play with Jesus.

Nmecha only scored his first goal in their last game but from what I've been reading he's doing very well for them, I've seen numerous comments from their fans commending him on his perfirmances.
Doug will be the man to ask on that, Gonzalez is the only striker that comes to mind, Ambrose out on loan i think.

Anyone back from loan who might get a look-in? Herrera's supposed to have returned, as has Moreno, but I don't know whether they've started training, or whether they have work permits. Caceres has finished his loan to Melbourne City, and now been loaned to Sydney. I don't know what the logic is behind us ending a loan to another City Football Group member, only to loan the same player to one of their rivals - is there something to this that any of the Aussies on here can enlighten us about?
Sandler hasn't featured at all for us yet, either. Don't know what the deal is with him, as he's not exactly a youth player, and we forked out a couple of million, which I'd have guessed would mean he should either be featuring in some games, or should be shipped out during this window. It's not like it's the Keegan era, where we spent £2.5-£4 million on someone, only for them to vanish into the ether.

Assuming any of the lads on loan won't be coming back the team I would like to see is something like:
Muric
Walker ( needs another game to get back into the groove)
Garcia ( def deserves another game)
Otter
Zinchenko
KDB ( needs match time)
Gundo
Foden
Mahrez
Jesus (we havent got another worthy striker)
Poveda (could be Bolton but not long back from injury and very right sided)
Poveda is a very tricky player and could cause loads of problems. Matondo is another option and he made the bench a while back so you never know. He is all about pace.
So basically still a strong side as we know Pep doesnt just field a full reserve side.

Like the look of that. I thought Garcia played well against Leicester. KDB and Walker need game time as well as Nico and Gabe. Fern needs to be kept away from the squad for this and Burton

In 2014,Liverpool nearly got over the line, being out of the cups early and not competing in Europe certainly helped them. We patched up and battled on playing Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday. I have wondered whether they would throw their game at Wolves in an attempt to unclog the fixture list for February, March and April. They won't sacrifice Europe as they believe they are European royalty but at the same time, Klipperty needs to put a trophy on the sideboard. I'm not sure he can afford to throw away a chance to do so. In the meantime, we have the opportunity to rest SOME players in both domestic competitions. We have been very fortunate with the draws, we rarely weaken too much, so lets put a decent side that is more than capable of winning. We can reassess if we get through, based on who we get and what the league situation is at the time. Don't throw away any chance of some glory. Who knows we might need it later.
