A lot of negative things have been said here about Mendy but the fact is we kept 6 clean sheets with him playing including away games at Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs ! In that time he contributed with 6 assists. Not too shabby for a defender.

The guy can’t help it if he gets injured and now he’s been criticized for celebrating our biggest win of the season !!

I'll be happy to be called a moron for £150k a week, picking up medals for hardly playing, causing all kinds of antics on media albeit harmless.

If anyone thinks we haven't missed him then they're really off the scale. He has flaws but he gave us a good balance. Had he managed to play for a long stint, we probably be top of the league
