But could he? If I recall we got him almost at the end of his career, when everything he had at Forest and Scouse was long gone. Could us signing him at that point was really needed? He was 33 if I am not mistaken at that time.

Can't compare that, mate. Silva is one in a generation. He will be almost the same, a bit slower at 36.
