At 7M I think he probably deserves to be promoted from the Wonderkids thread to hi own.

Who knew eh? Who knows anything about him?

https://www.mcfcwatch.com/2019/01/16/fe ... sa-report/

Reporting for the Guardian, Fabrizio Romana and Aleksandr Holiga write: “City have reached an agreement with Hajduk Split to sign the highly rated 18-year-old central midfielder Ante Palaversa.

“Palaversa, the Croatian Under-19 captain, has made huge progress in the past few years, first in the youth teams at Hajduk but also, crucially, after making the step up to the first team last summer.

“He is already rated as one of the best central midfielders in the Croatian league and is the outstanding prospect of Hajduk’s next generation.

“He has some similarities to Toni Kroos with his football intelligence and reading of the game setting him apart.

“At the moment he is playing as a number eight but could develop into an excellent number six, where, at the moment, City are heavily reliant on the 33-year-old Fernandinho.”

Nobody has heard of him and even if he is coming he wont play for awhile so he definitely doesnt deserve his own thread.

Mendy probably won't play for a while either, but he has his own thread.

One of these signings will eventually be the next Zabba type signing where you get a diamond for peanuts but at the moment my excitement levels towards these signings is pretty much zero.

Sky sources:

Ante Palaversa is undergoing a medical at Manchester City ahead of a permanent switch from Croatian side Hajduk Split, Sky Sports News understands.

Should everything be successful, the 18-year-old will sign a four-and-a-half-year contract and join City's U23 squad.

The holding midfielder is considered a player for the future and is likely to be loaned back out for the rest of the season for more games

Last week, Sky Sports News reported that City were close to a £7m deal with Hajduk Split for Palaversa - a Croatia U19 international.

Hooray (I think)

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footb ... versa.html

Manchester City have signed teenager Ante Palaversa from Hajduk Split, with the midfielder immediately rejoining the Croatian side on loan.

The 18-year-old completed a medical in Manchester this week and has moved for a reported fee of £7million.

Hajduk have announced Palaversa will return to them on loan until the end of the 2019-20 season, although City can recall him next January.

The Croatia Under-19 international is happy to stay with his boyhood club ahead of linking up with 'one of the biggest clubs in the world'.

'Thanks to Manchester City for the trust,' he told Hajduk's website.

'There is still a lot of work ahead of me. I have not yet shown all I can and I hope to play for Hajduk to justify the great trust I have received from England's champions.

What a class player. I'm so excited....

Actually, I genuinely can't remember the last time I was actually excited about one of our signings. Probably Otter.
