Only saw the second half.
All I can say is if it was such an improvement on the first half, then it must have been terrible first half.
Apart from the 5 minute spell where we upped the gears and scored two, I thought we were sloppy and lacking cohesion.
I suppose the lack of intensity or urgency breeds mistakes and people look too comfortable and don’t get out of second gear, but it’s a bad habit to get into.
Three goals and three points barely into third gear, I suppose you can’t be critical.
Gladly take the same against Newcastle.

3 points in what could have been a potential banana skin. Don't care how we got the goals just glad we got them.
Ref was a cheating cunt.
Huddersfield fans are petulant twats.
Up the blues.

A win is always welcome. That result was the minimum required. With Huddersfield in such a mess it would have been nice to get 4 or 5 to improve the goal difference, but it’s okay in this difficult month. On we go.

Was a good win vs a scrappy team with a new manager. 3 points and on to the next game

Sane wasn't offside.
Rewatch again. 100% offside.
I keep watching and thinking he's on. Must be the big toe
Do they not do that whole digital line thing on television over there? with that added it makes it pretty clear.

It was so close then you have to give the advantage to the attacking team. The frame that Sky shown was very close but when you looked at the ball leaving the foot the ball looked about 2 foot long meaning that there was a fraction of a second in it as Sane was moving forward while the defender moving out. Probably find that a millisecond earlier, he would've shown as level/onside.

Have they got rid of the "clear daylight" rule now?
What if one player has a massive piece on him (Sergio) and it flops forward when he makes a run and his bellend is offside?

Clearly offside because he can score with that

Painful though, especially in full windmill mode.

I think the "clear daylight" rule only ever existed in someone's imagination.

Anyway, seeing we weren't given a stonewall penalty, Huddersfield can have no complaints.

Yes, another piece of crap by ex-players who never knew the rules.

Can I just reiterate that the ref was absolutely aweful. The penalty decision on Sterling was diabolical and he and his officials took a conscious decision not to give it. Then the non-stop finger pointing when they left a foot in on one of our players, failing to sanction a single one. Not forgetting the opposite as he pulled up our players for the slightest niggle, only evened up after the game was won.
We've all seen Marriner, on numerous occassions, but that game was so one-eyed that no way was it is usual game. The fucker had been directed, is my only answer.

Spot on. It seemed that Hudders had licence to do what they wanted in the first half. Not that they were dirty or anything but they fouled a lot and nothing was being given. Marriner leads the way in the refs that give the best impression of being bent.

It really does annoy me mate, not just as a City fan but also when it affects other lesser clubs than Sky's favourites. The PL is a closed shop and whoever wins it outside of those sanctioned have to put in every effort to make it. The fact that the refs are solely owned by the PL tells us all we have to know about how they run their 'entertainment', proved by who they want as their head. They don't want some business or sports person at the head, they want a media person who can maximize profits.
And, at the head of the snake, one Sky Sports, who have based their entire business plan on maximising profits from their biggest fan bases.
Fucking stinks.
