MotM v Huddersfield

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Jan 20, 2019 3:53 pm

First half not so good and then explosive early in the 2nd before controlling the play and conserving energy. Could be a couple this week and torn between Sterling, Danilo and Sane.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Aladdin is the only choice I can see. And he wasn't fantastic.

But our expectations these days are very very high

Hard to choose any one player as stand-out but Sané best of a bad bunch. Gets it because of his goal and assist but overall impression is "must improve".

Ineffective but not worse than Gudogan or Walker? (or Daveed after he came on)

If we're going off standards set, Kev was worse

Thought the whole midfield were poor to be honest. Like we went 3-0 up too easily and they didn’t have to make the effort afterwards.
Shoddy.

The lads are fine. After a non-stop schedule there are many who are feeling it, some coming back in who need time to get back up to speed and with the loss of a few to tactical change, you cannot always give that intensity.

3-0, at walking pace, what's to complain about? Nobody would give a shit if we were top of the league but now we're in a 'lowly' 2nd then the fingers are pointing.

After just this game, no, I am not worried. The next month or so will shape our season and I'd imagine he will be right back on it. It could be he is just frustrated with his stop start season with his two injuries and he perhaps feels that at this point in his career he should be flying insteadcof feeling his way back into the side

Agree entirely MrBeefy! There are too many people on here who expect perfection every time. Gone are the days when a 1-1 draw at York or Shrewsbury would be received with orgasmic ecstasy!
Give the lads a break it was f... freezing in Huddersfield today...
