Site crashes

Site crashes

Postby Wonderwall » Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:40 am

Please.note we have had a few issues once again with Chinese spam bots trying to create 100s of accounts and causing the DB to crash. It's now resolved for the time being, we are looking to upgrade the software in the coming weeks, I just need to schedule a good time and date for the necessary updates.

This may involve some downtime.

Thanks for your patience

Greatly appreciated WW

Probably explains why I am being asked regularly to log back in, something I've not had to do for about 5 years (when using an iPad at that time).

Shout if we need to stick a few coffers in the pot to sort it?

How about another T Shirt run? That black one with the Templar/Maltese whatever (nobody knows) cross from Gorton is still in my drawer seeing occasional service now. Good quality.

Great idea John i'd be up for a new MCFNET shirt, I think my original PureManc ones died a few years back, i never had the West Gorton one but my "I'm not really here" one survives as my beach shirt.......... as can be seen here in Kefalonia, Charity Shield day 2018, just before i set off to the bar to watch the game.....

I think Patrick was the man behind last time, not sure he will come out of retirement it being mid Ski season in the alps

T-SHIRT run is a great idea, could get lots of new ideas now with the centurion Monica or something new and snappy.

Open to ideas on the designs

I'd love a simple t-shirt with just the site logo on the chest. Preferably black, white or grey.

Iirc it was a design competition for the I'm not really here shirt? Maybe if enough interest perhaps a hoody option and also kids sizes (I know last time out our lad wanted a shirt just like dad's)

Once designed we can use one of those web companies that will offer to print in various colour, sizes, styles (long sleeve short sleeve, hoody etc)?

Might be worth asking mrm what font we use on the site ?

Just had a play on the first site Google offered and using Noolie and Bobs ideas, see what you think? I would be happy to run a pole in Maine forum to gauge interest and set up a competition for designs?
