Although I thought Newport was going to be easy and that was a horrendous match

From what I understand they will be missing 3 key midfielders tonight, 2 are ill and one is suspended..... sounds like they are being forced to play the meh!rez equivalent (joking about mahrez in case someone gets offended).

Seriously though the player was a signing from Bayern (linked with us a few weeks back) he had such a mare last week he was hooked off after 33 minutes.

Nice line up. Little bit surprised Sane doesn’t start against his old club

I still dont like this back 3 in attack but Laporte at LB and Fern at CB in defense.

Can see it being a fluid 3-4-3 in attack, 4-3-3 in defence.
Not sure I like it, but if Schalke aren’t great it should be effective.

2 goals and 1 assist in the Champs League for us this season in 3 starts. Playing against his former club.
