City v Chelsea Cup Final Prediction

Postby nottsblue » Sat Feb 23, 2019 7:50 am

So our 4th final in 6 years in the League Cup. Got a good record in this competition with five wins in six previous finals. Overall we haven't got a great record against Chelsea, but we have just battered them 6-0.

I am fairly confident we wil bag our first pot of the season, though of course, anything can happen on the day. But stop Hazard and you go a long way to nullifying Chelsea.

City 3-0
Aguero

Last time we played these at Wembley was last August (which I watched from a bar in Kefalonia)

We won 2-0 and its was the same referee as tomorrow's game

I predict the same outcome and the same scorer..... SERGIO

That said, if we score early doors (under 10 minutes) I can see the flood gates opening again for second time in under 2 weeks.

Dare I make comparisons to last season beatings of the gooners?

I can see us doing the same to them as we did last time we played them, 5-0 for me.

Will be happy with any win as it's a final, but I'm gonna go for 4-1 City, Razza with first.

That'll make the drive back to Durham easier......

Bloody hell, that's a drive and a half! How late do you reckon you'll be back in Drum?

Depends on if there's any ET or pens. Could be as late as 2am - better be worth it. The journey home after that soggy Wigan final was a mare!

Despite ET, pens, celebrating when the trophy was presented, the M1 being closed for 3 junctions near Nottingham and thick fog I made it home for 1.30am. Fucked work off, though, duvet day for me!
