We had this last year with Bravo. Pep had actually come out a couple of days before the final to say Bravo would play because he was the cup goalkeeper and a big reason of why we were in the final.

Would imagine Pep will have a similar mindset this time round. For Pep, honour is a big thing, perhaps as much as actually winning. We have seen that he wants to win in a certain way and does not subscribe to the win at all costs mentality.

Therefore, Muric is likely to get the nod. And to be fair, he is no mug and has looked assured when he's played.

Both Big Willy and Claudio the Clown have been designated cup keepers and won us silverware, despite being questioned by the fans ahead of the final game.
I think/hope Muric can do the same today, although I obviously prefer an easy 6-0 win over penalties.

That said, I'm nit sure that Muric is "the cup keeper". He hasn't played in the FA Cup, so maybe Pep more saw it as giving an academy lad a shot when he played him in the league cup so far. What it all comes down to are what promises (if any) Pep's given Muric.

pep stating in the presser that he had “to think about it” was prob intended just to keep chelsea guessing and force them to prepare for both of our keepers. I doubt he ever seriously considered playing Eddie today.

If we want our best team because we want to win, like some have suggested, why bother playing Muric in any round? You know, if we want to win.
