Starting Xi for West Ham match

Postby Saul Goodman » Wed Feb 27, 2019 6:05 am

I think this is going to be a very tough match and I'm worried. Pep definitely has a selection dilemma on his hands and unfortunately his hand will be forced in some areas.

Coming off a midweek Champions League match in which we had to play hard until the 90th minute and a 120 minute slog only 4 days later the starting 11 looks rough:

Ederson
Walker Kompany Otamendi Zinchenko
Danilo
Gundogan Silva
Robben Aguero Sane

No Jesus means that Aguero has to start and that's worrying due to the exertion over the last week. Sterling has to be rested too so he cannot play up top and give Aguero a rest.

Danilo will deifnitely start but I just dont know if it'll be RB, LB, or DM. I'm thinking DM because if you put Gundogan there then I dont know who will start at CM..maybe Foden gets a league start?

Silva has been quite poor for awhile now and should be dropped on that basis alone but there's no replacement. KDB will surely be on the bench as he's still coming back from his injury.

I don't care who plays.

This Charming Man needs to be played at some point.

Not danilo in the holding role, he was like a deer in the headlights on sunday, luckily Gundo was deep beside him!

Gundo
Bernardo KdB/Dave

should be the middle three.

Sterling Aguero Sane up top

Defence picks itself
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why must Sterling be rested?

Agreed. Win our next game is what we should be looking at. Must-win tonight and each league game after - keep up the pressure .

2 straight exhauting matches in which he played 210 minutes and ran his socks off. Pep has shown his willingness to rotate the wingers between Sterling, Sane, Robben, and Bernardo
