Some were saying the same about Bernardo last year and look at him now. Most players take a season to get used to Pep's methods
Can we stop this stupid comparison now. Bernardo was completely new to the Premier League and country.
Mehrez is a former Prem POTY. He doesn't need to adapt to the premier League. He just doesn't fit the system. Like Bony.
Compare him to Sterling, who's been our best player this season, Mehrez is awful.

Thinking that myself. When he first arrived I thought Bernie looked totally lost for quite a while, and got a similar slagging. And of course Gundo got similar treatment.
Agree Mahrez was diabolical last night, but he's also proved in the time he's been in English football that he's certainly got what it takes ability wise.
He'll come good.

Why don't you all use Walker as an example? Class last year in his first season under Pep.
Both Walker and Mehrez are seasoned Premier League players so more of a comparison than players playing their first season in the Prem.

What stroke me as odd was the derby, when Fern almost kicked his arse in front of the whole world. You don't see that.
I think there might be a reason behind it. I mean almost everyone fucked a play and almost costs us and you didn't saw Fern almost kicking their teeth in.
I think Mahrez might not be that liked in the dressing room.
Anyway, I hope he makes it and if he wants that it will happen. Really just a few didn't managed to make it here.

I think your right PP, he's a misfit - falling over his bottom lip most of the time - and they haven't forgiven him for pushing Jesus off the the dipper penalty.

It could be the moment that cost us the league JC - which won’t do a lot for his likeability factor

It could be, I'd be more inclined to put it down to dropping three points to fucking Crystal Palace at home.

Pep will make or break Mahrez. You can go back as far as David Villa at Barca, to find players that had to adjust to Peps way. David Villa was a Goal machine at Valencia." The main man" He joins Barca and was complete and utter shite lost in a new club, he looked like he was broken sell him get him gone, booed by his own fans. Pep worked with him and a season later was ripping it up. Have faith, Pep will sort him out or he will bomb him. He made Yaya a centre half for a CL final and he was outstanding in shutting down the scums Tranny and Co. Before the game its the rags to lose as Barca had no defenders !

Add to that the fact the quality wasen't the problem there, but his wife. I suspect with Nolito was the same.

Nolito was a poor signing and proof that Pep isn't a magician with EVERY signing he makes.

I suppose Pep just watched the highlights of the game at our place in the Leicester title winning season and thought if he can take the piss out of Kolarov and Otter like that he must be half decent.

Mahrez had a real off night against West Ham. Nothing came off and the runs weren't timed or if they were the ball to him was delayed.
As someone said, he has an amazing first touch which completely disappeared when he needed it with his first time shot in the box.
Confidence looks like it's shot to shit. If we had put the game to bed as we should have in the first 20 minutes, I don't think either Sane or Mahrez would have been replaced as they need game time.
However, as things were on Wednesday, Pep showed why he is boss and made the right changes.
In pep we trust.

So let's see now.
Kun and David Silva have been in the PL for a few years now. Neither got anywhere near Player of the Year. Completely ignored by most.
This fella gets player of the year and it just shows you what a joke these awards are.
He simply isn't good enough.
Since he has been at the Etihad he has shown nothing to suggest we can depend on him.
He is not a player to build your midfield around.
