Would prefer Sane to start instead of Mahrez but I guess Pep wants to boost Mahrez’s confidence after last week.

Didn't start Sanè after he scored against Schalke. It's pathetic from pep determined to justify wasting money on Mehrez

It's a strange one, but Sanè is a really good impact sub.

One trophy in the bag, great chance of the FA Cup, Premiership and possibly even the Champions League. How can anyone ever question what Pep does?

To be fair, none of us see what happens in training. Or whether a player is carrying a small knock. Or whether a certain player in a certain formation is preferred given the opposition at hand.

On the face of it Sane looks a world beater. But he has games where he drifts in and out of the game. Maybe that’s his fault, maybe it’s the teams, maybe it’s the managers tactics. But in all fairness he hasn’t shown the greatest consistency like Bernardo has that says to a manager, you can’t leave me out

That's true mate. But it's been a while now that Sanè has been benched. Would be good to find out why players like Silva and KBD continued to get starts when they've been awful for months.

Maybe they give their all in training?

But I agree. As a fan who just watches the games, KDB for my money, wouldn’t have been in the starting line up for the last 4/5 games. Neither would Silva. But we have won virtually every game over the last few months, so what do I know

My main concern is we've seen Pep have personal issues with players at previous clubs he's managed. I think Pep is too harsh with Sanè. He may have a bad game I feel like Pep will come down on him hard. Whereas other players may not get that.
I don't want that to happen with Sanè and for him to be off.

Funny player. Either brilliant or fuckin awful. Does well when he has a point to prove. Which may, unfortunately, follow him all his career,. To be fair Pep did drop Walker so he bucked up a bit
