The boardroom manoeuvres are kicking in...

Postby Dimples » Mon Mar 18, 2019 11:07 am

IMO there has been a massive turnaround re 'decisions' going in our favor.
For certain we were getting the thin edge of the wedge but now we are starting to get favorable cup draws, penalty shouts, var decisions, etc...

I have always maintained that the club would not accept what was happening to us but that they would sort it out behind closed doors.
Not play it out in the media or at the lower levels by complaints from Pep, players, etc... but sorted where the power is i.e. the boardrooms.

Our club is a long term multi billion $ project, invested in by extremely wealthy business people, who will demand maximum returns.
In effect the club is backed by a very wealthy country. Well versed in the ruthlessness of big business.
No way were they ever going to say goodbye to a billion or two $s without a fight - but the fight is behind closed doors.

There is no doubt in my mind that the recent Wiki leaks, the investigations, etc... are all part of this boardroom power struggle.
UEFA will be a tough nut to crack though. Look at Chelsea Vs. Barca semi from 2009, Us Vs. Dippers last year.....
(BTW. Pep was manager of Barca in 2009, look at his celebrations when Barca scored, he is well versed in the dark arts...)

Even so the signs look good, I think we are beginning to get on top.

Would be interested on getting people's opinion on this, is it all imagined, is there a war raging, etc...

Nor sure about the whole grand scale plot, but it's worth speculating if Platini's demise came about because of a word in the right ears.

I'm not sure anyone has changed their mind about us, but we doing seem to be getting the 'successful club' bias these days.

i think the vested interests have come to the conclusion that it's not a short term thing, and if they can't beat us, to get on the bandwagon/gravy train.

Imagine needing a right back, left back, goalkeeper and just saying "ah do you know what, let's not spend any money to improve our team. Why would we do that?"

I think these twats think City set the prices when we buy a player. It's cunts like Spurs that drive the market up.

they are hell bent on sticking to their mantra of City have spent £££££ but never seem to point out that we actually get good value, sure not all work out and that's nothing new. Christ look at the list of those that failed at the scum under red nose, forlan, stam and so on. The just spent 90m on one player, yes hes good and could be great but then we have players that are already great and cost between 45m and 55m. We are setting the standards in the premier league, not just on the field but behind the scenes too and no cunt likes it.

Don't worry, it was that good I read it twice ;-)

The constant drip of shit is clear and organised, Rags spend actual fees of 90 and 120 million yet we are the ones who are in the cross hairs. Tells you all you need to know, the cartel stick together, no matter what.

With regard to Wiki Leaks, I've read that there are thousands of dodgy hacked e-mailed from the cartel clubs but have yet to see anything of substance from the media. Seems there's no interest in them, I wonder why?

it must be an odd place to work at the moment for those in the top tier of this city group, they cant come out and hammer anyone that dares to have a pop as that would be more damaging long term for business growth. Nobody of note would want to get in bed with a company that turns on anyone who falls out with them no matter w the reason, we would find it difficult to generate big contracts of sponsorship and overseas partnerships but that said at some point you do have to put some people back in their boxes too. The handling of this latest draft of organised and precise jabs I believe will bring a change of response though, this may turn out to be a step to far and the city group will simply turn up in force as show of power. I think we are getting to a point where we either go for them and put it all to bed or we take it on the chin and deal with decision quietly and that will be part of a deal to end this once and for all. If its the 2nd option how fucking stupid will they look if we keep winning even through the restrictions they put in place for whats likely to be 2 years.

Sounds like we might go after Hoeness for this one - the raise the price of oil comment is deemed to be racist

A step too far from Hoeness this time. I think he will need to apologise publicly for that remark the goon. Bayern really have issues with us don't they? Poor lambs
