I live close to Sparta Prague's stadium and they currently have this banner outside with their '7 ages'

It got me thinking: how would you divide up and name City's ages and which player would represent it?

Translation is:
1893-1918 Birth of character
1918-1926 Iron Sparta
1926-1944 European Dominance
1944-1973 Up and Down after the War
1973-1990 Bounce back from the bottom
1990-2003 Golden Era
2003-2018 New Age Sparta

Formation period -
30s epic successes -
50s epic successes -
Late 60s greats -
70s great team that never lived up -
30-odd years of pain
Modern Greatness

Can't be bothered deciding on old players!! Maybe the last 4:

Colin Bell
Denis Tueart
Michael Frontzek, or maybe Jamie Pollack for THAT goal
Vincent Kompany

I spent a couple of days working at a desk with the Mitropa Cup trophy sitting next to me a few years ago. It's crammed full of winners' names, with additional plaques on the base, and this pic doesn't do it justice.
