Ole at the wheel . .

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Ole at the wheel . .

Postby Herb » Thu Mar 28, 2019 9:17 am

Ole’s Got the job . . which is weird and quite funny because he’s done nothing to change their style other than that they want to play for him because he’s not Mourinho.
Even the reaction from the rags is quite muted.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

He might do better than Louie and the Spastic One because he accepts the input of Taggart. However, he has a dressing room full of mercenaries and snakes.

It would be hilarious if he fucks up and have the next season as this one.

Ed has pulled off another masterstroke, getting OGS in full time just before it becomes obvious he is not up to it. Now back him big in the summer market Ed.

I cant believe they are so naive to think that ferguson's lap puppy can bring back the days of fergusons football. Do they not realise the football world has moved on.
But it will be funny though

It's a win and a place. They are now in a position where they have appointed one of their own and gone some way towards appeasing the hordes. Be interesting to see how much they give him to spunk in summer and just how long it takes them to get shut when they are languishing behind top 4 by Xmas. Then it starts all over again

Yes, but what happens if it goes tits up until end of season? I doubt they would give him that much to waste. Be better for all if he does not fuck up untill next season, you know bad start, mid table in November, make your mind up time for old Woody then

They've given him a three year deal so they are going to have to back him in the summer albeit that I imagine it will be a reduced budget if they don't qualify for chumps league. Either way, they will be in shit state by mid-season but he plays the utd way so they're sorted

Let's hope Sanchez and Fred refuse to move on too. Stuck paying $$$$ for two shit players.

Also got Herrera that's on a free at the end of the season. Pogba is sounding out Madrid again it seems. De Gea continues to be linked away.

Young and Jones have signed new contracts tho

Sky going overtime with the appointment, rather predicibly. About ten threads on how he has improved the rags, brought back the feel good factor, improved various players, got the best from others, who he should sign etc etc.

A brilliant appointment for all non rags. He is starting to show how out of depth he is and they are likely to be playing Thursday night football next season which won't help.

Yes but if he wins Europa league it’s another trophy for the worlds biggest club

I'm happy for the Rags. It's always joyous when a former legend of a player takes over. I felt the same when Stuart Pearce became manager. That went well...

Spot on. He's given up 70% possession in all of their games vs big teams and rags somehow hail him has the return of baconface. He benefited from a post moaninho bounce, but is out of his depth. His tactics are shocking and he depends on individual players making a moment of brilliance. That does not equate to success over a full season.

It's extra great for City fans, since the rags will be very very hesitant to give him the sack when things don't go well. So this'll drag on for a bit
