Just watched him run the show in the FA youth semi final win over WBA. What a player we have on our hands, surely the next big thing to come out of the Academy?

What position is his best

The fact who is grandfather is and him being manc, the club will be willing him on and might give him a bit more leeway in terms of the first team. Id love to see a few local lads pad out the first team squad similar to how the rags had phil neville fletcher and o shea(granted not local lads but u get my point) in their squads.

He plays central midfield and seems to have a bit of everything in his game. Looks a class above most of the other players on the pitch, huge potential with this one me thinks. I'm guessing DH has seen a fair bit of him, would be interesting to know what he thinks.

Only one game I know, but judge for yourselves...

I love watching him play as he is always looking to make things happen, plays with a real intensity and has the quality to go with it. He can playbasically anywhere but he sems best suited to me when he is in the middle of the action and really with a licence to attack. Not really a number 10 but an 8. He is aware of what's going on around him and has the ability to play key passes but he also loves to shoot and as we saw tonight he has a great shot on him.

And what about his corners and free kicks. From the right he drives them in fairly low but rising and they are dangerous. From the other side he whips them in with bend and dip as with the one Knight flicked in for the 3rd goal. Seriously good and for Knight ( 4 feet nothing!) to get a header in they must be.

Really good pairing in the middle with Nmecha and McDonald sat behind them. Excellent final goal from Nmecha.

Is the semi-final one or two legs?

City's website are saying we've reached the final (https://www.mancity.com/news/academy/ma ... tch-report), the FA's website doesn't announce any upcoming semi matches, their rulebook for the FA Youth Cup states there are two legs, and Google's fixtures feature says the second leg is next Monday...

One leg, it seems to be a change in format starting this season

so we're at home for the final.
be great if they let season ticket holders in for free at the big stadium and a token entry fee, of say a fiver, for everyone else.
imagine if we won the fa cup proper, the womens one and the youth one....

That would be a bit special as all 3 have already won the league cup this season. Could be another record

Cheers Doug. Our seniors could take some tips on the corners ;)
