Also the rags and there were other brain farts last season too but by and large his performances were good.

I'm struggling to think of a good performance from him this season.

Chelsea.
I think his "good form" idea was based on that game where he was used as a left back and we provided the world with one of the best performances in years. I think the rest must have been momentum.

I don't know if he will leave, remember we need english players in squad. Without him we have only 3 if I am not mistaken.

Some are being hard on him out for months and thrown back in away in a CL quarter final. In fairness that's not easy.
He certainly wasn't any worse than any of the rest of them.
So far now on here we have Delph, Walker, Silva, Mahrez, Gundo, Jesus, otter and mendy all heading for the chop. It's going to be a very busy summer so.

There's no limit.

There's a limit on foreign players (non association grown) , 17 max.

In PL squad the remaining 8 spots can only be filled by association grown players.

In CL squad the remaining 8 spots can only be filled by 4 association grown and 4 club grown.

Sad but true I fear.
I can think of a few times where his errors have been punished with a goal.
His positional sense for a left back is totally lacking. He then lunges in late to compensate or doesn't react at all.

He had one great season with us, but that's it unfortunately.

He's not a left back and that is the root of the problem playing him there. Fine when we were wiping the floor with teams like last season, not in any shape or form fine now.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

Foden is an u21 player that doesn't need to be registered so he isn't quite in the same boat as Delph, Raz, Stones and Walker. Other u21 payers can also be registered besides him to help with the numbers, but it makes more sense to have a senior player using that space.

As far as I understand you can be under the HG requirements in the PL and CL but then that means your registered squad size has to be smaller.

For the PL I believe you can register u21 players (who don't need to be registered) who are association trained (3 years with FA or Wales FA) to help with the HG numbers, but again that takes squad places away from more experienced/senior players to help with depth.

For CL the same limits on squad size comes up if you don't have enough players to meet the requirements, but is harder to meet as you pointed out because you need club grown players (trained 3 years at a club between 15-21).

Younger players who are club grown can also be used again to help meet the requirements.

Brahim was a u21 player also considered a club grown HG player, but when he left in January that affected our numbers. We added Sandler (CG/HG), Bravo and dropped Mangala. Helpful news was that Jesus, because he was at the club for 2 years and was still considered an U21 player, was able to get on the "B List" meaning he became eligible without being registered. I think this happened to Nacho whilst he was here. Next year that won't be the case for Jesus as he will count as foreign.

If we add a non-HG player this summer, as is speculated for DM, and Gundo plus Dinho stay, it will create a bit of an issue if we want to sell Delph. It's why Chillwell is very much a player we will be looking at as his addition would help in this area, and why Leicester will ask for a king's ransom for him.

Looks like he is fit. Or, of course, it depends what it means to call Delph fit.

Kane has also been named and he's not fit. Says more about England's lack of strength in depth to me.

Kane and Delphi 2 leaders in a young team - just having them in the dressing room is important
