Sanè situation

What the fuck is going on?

Don't give it "He's got a bad attitude" - based on what?!

Pep has a problem with him for no reason. And when he has a problem there's no coming back, we've seen that.

Suck it up Pep. Stop being a arrogant wanker.

How do you know there's no reason? Maybe....probably there's a big fucking reason.

The reason is that Sterling likes playing on the left, Bernardo on the right, where does he get in?

Proof?

The number of appearances.

That's proof that Pep doesn't like him. Not that there's an issue with Sanè himself.

I've got proof he's class - YPOTY. Your turn.

Sure, there's no doubt he is class.

BUT, you don't keep that quality off the pitch without a reason.

Maybe we'll find out in time.

I loved his energy when he came on. Looked like a player with something to prove.

The lack of game time is baffling to a lot of fans and onlookers, myself included. But we aren't privy to Peps thoughts or what happens in training or indeed the thoughts in Sane's head.

Individually, on his day he is unplayable. But equally he has games where you wonder if he was playing. I know wingers can be like that sometimes. But Bernardo rarely has a bad game and Sterling has had another Stella season on the left. He clearly has a big ask to get in and stay in the team and ATM Pep obviously prefers Sterling and Bernado, and why wouldn't he. They have been our two best players.

Whether he will still be here next season, time will tell. Maybe he has been tapped up, maybe he is fed up in Manchester. I hope he stays myself. I can see Sterling playing in a more central role in the coming years which frees up the left hand side.

Our wide men in big games just have to be sterling right and Sane left. With Bernardo more central in midfield.

Its a hard one as Sane was sensational last season.

But with kev out. Bernardo will have to move in and Sane will have to play left.

Hard to drop Raz or Bernardo right now, and Sterling has been playing so well on the left.

It is a concern though and something is going to give at some point.

Bayern will surely be sniffing around the situation, but do they have the cash as they just spent big Hernandez?

We have about a million league games in a row, we seem to do ok without him. We wouldnt have got more points with him in the team as we have won every league game since jan so i say lets trust pep.

I don't see Mahrez playing often, and he was POTY a few seasons ago, wasn't he..? (Admittedly Mahrez hasn't been as impressive for us as perhaps Sane was last season)
Horses for courses, and as many have stated, the form of Bernardo and Sterling is likely keeping him from a free spot. We have games thick and fast until the end of the season, so let's see if/how he plays. I'd expect Mahrez to fuck off before him, and if Sané does go we should command a hefty fee.

We literally just lost to Spurs.

At one point Aguero was benched, rather than sulking and angling for a move, he rose to the challenge when the opportunity came and retained his first team spot. Sane can follow his example and rise to the challenge. I have a feeling he is still sulking, I've seen him training on couple of the os clips and he doesn't give the impression of being arsed. It's the only reason can think of for not selected, I don't think We'll sell him and his opportunity will come, just needs to make sure he's ready.

Surely we should trust in pep, he’s not got much wrong since he’s been with us. Pep is the best manager in the world and must know how good sane is. So if he’s choosing not to play him there must be a good reason for it.

Hope sane pulls an Aguero and show pep he’s got the balls to take the challenge.

Like scoring the winner against Liverpool? Or coming off the bench and changing the first leg at Schalke? When's he sulked?

Doesn’t do as he is told and loses the ball in possession far too easily. Not to difficult is it ?

Average giving the ball away per match in the Prem:

Sanè 1.3 times per game
Sterling 2.7 times per game
Bernardo, Dave, and Mahrez 1 time per game

Glad we cleared up he's not actually that bad at giving the ball away.

Best guess is he's not following instruction so Guardiola doesn't trust him in the 'big games' where he wants more control but it's just that, a guess.

I do sometimes wonder was it him lazily giving the ball away at Anfield for their first in the 3-0 last season was the start of this.

I don't know whether he does give the ball away more than most or not, but to judge you would need not only the number of times he gave it away but also out of how much possession he has compared to others.
