Right, as the table currently stands:

Us & the Dippers are guaranteed to take the top 2 places, and Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Rags are in a fight that's too tight to call for 3rd to 6th.

Now, if the table finishes:

Us
Dippers
Arsenal
Rags
Spurs
Chelsea

but Spurs win the CL AND Chelsea win EL, then the Rags would be relegated to the Europa League, from what I understand.

My question is, would such a scenario end up with 8th also qualifying for the EL (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 5 & 6 = CL, while 4, 7 & 8 = EL)?

If Watford win the FA cup, does that still give them a Europa League spot? Sure it used to

Yes, that's the other proviso: as long as we win the FA Cup, too (runners-up no longer get an EL spot). Watford are one of the 4 clubs in with a (realistic) shot of getting 7th or 8th place, alongside Everton, Leicester and Wolves.
