First time a City player has won the journalist's award since Book in 1969, and considering how good some of our players have been in recent years (Aguero with 20+ goals a season for 5 seasons on the trot) it probably tells you all you need to know about the state of sports journalism in England.

Fair play to Raheem. Got a lot of shit once again for his performances in the World Cup, wrongly as it happens, but he has responded this season magnificently, scoring 29 and assisting many more.

A true role model off the field, he has risen above so many obstacles deliberately put in his way, a lot of them put there by the same guys that have now bestowed this honour upon him. And the best thing is he is only getting better year on year

That reptile Aldridge reckons it’s a travesty he got that award and it should have gone to Van Dick instead .

Seriously - someone needs to run him over with a combine harvester.

I see Nikita Parrish has announced she's leaving the club, I assume she has deliberately run her contract down? She is only 25. I see she didn't play the last match at Arsenal, which is our first league defeat of the season. I hope she's not off to the rags? Anyone know what's happening?

We seem to be Lyon's feeder club.
