Did it occur that not everything is the club's fault? For example he may decide to accept an offer to player-manage Anderlecht

:D

Exactly, it's a dream opportunity for him (started at their youth academy when he was 6 years old). And it's always best in sports to go out on a high note.

Interesting that he said he want to continue playing the football that Pep taught him. Sounds like Anderlecht would be a great opportunity for our young defenders to go on loan to over the next 3 years.

Thanks for the years for joy and wish him all the best

Perfect timing for him to go there too. Anderlecht is the biggest club in Belgium, but had a very poor season (for their standards) ending in 6th place.

What's a bit funny about the whole situation is that Kompany doesn't have his Pro License yet, and isn't actually allowed to manage the team from the bench. He'll need a proxy to do that. But as he's a player/manager that's not too big of a deal.

Too busy completing his Masters Degree.
At least he should pass the written exams.

Even if he is too injured for the field exams.

I think he has made the right decision. After so many injuries he has left with a good run of form and been instrumental in our run in.

If ever a statue was warrented then he should be in it. Maybe with Silva and Aguero in a couple of years.

And it's hard to have a better last home game and last game for City than Vinny did!

I think all of us had our issues with him on the pitch, but outside, there is no one that can say he is not a fantastic human. No matter if they are a City fan or not.

People like Vinnie keep us from giving up on football and if more would had been like him, maybe this game wouln't be that bent.
