Silva/Tielemans.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Silva/Tielemans.

Plenty of reports of a tempting offer from Qatar and that we've got Tielemans lined up to replace him. It will be a sad day when Big Dave does go.
Has a plausible ring to it though and Tielemans is an impressive looking player at not the largest price.
So is Dave gonna go?
And would you be pleased to take Tielemans?

I think it's one more season for him and Serge,. Cannot see Silva leaving at same time as Kompany? Not seen a lot of Tielemans - seems to be well thought of in the reports of their recent games though.

I believe his contract runs out this summer and he hasn't renewed. what they offering him cant be brushed away, was it £12m after tax? That's twice what we pay and a lovely retirement pot. He's a legend and served us well, we cant begrudge him if he puts his family first.

I think Dave offered us so much that at this point I am fine with whatever he decides and I think the club thinks the same thing.

Wasn't aware of his contract situation and certainly would not begrudge him looking for a payday if the figures you quote are correct. One of the finest that I have had the good fortune to see so he can do whatever suits him and his family

Prefer him to stay for another year and to help coach Foden and give him a bit more time to learn the ropes and hopefully fulfill his potential. He isn’t the player he was, but he still has a lot to offer.

David Silva deserves the right to eventually leave us on his own terms . Cant for one minute believe he will go to Qatar ! Lucrative offers for his services will be endless when the legend does decide to eventually leave us (prob end of next season ).

I like the look of Tielemans but hes definitely not a #10. Hes more of a Gundogan replacement.
