Stupid. We're not big enough yet.

Is it an expansion? Or just a big solid stand?

The club is waiting for safe standing areas to be given the go ahead before any expansion. One end of the ground all standing would be incredible and add to the atmosphere big time . Problem is we don’t have enough tourists yet , too many tourists and it will go to shit . It’s a tricky one !

I think that is the main goal for the board, to atract more tourists.
Khaldoon spoke about the Indian market and he is right. It could be huge.

But of course, the quality of fans will go down.

Showsec killed the traction we were getting with atmosphere in the East stand.

South stand is all standing anyway? And still poss poor.

Build it and they will come. We sell out most home games and would sell the extra 6000 seats if the expansion was to the North stand in a similar style to the South stand, for most games.

A standing area with cheap tickets could make a lot of noise.

I just missed out on standing at Maine Road. The only taste of it was Fulham away when Morrison licked Collymore but I was a kid and can't really remember it.

Is it loads better?

A proper terrace would be. Not necessarily the sanitised rail standing that passes for terraces these days. Nothing better than a surge on the Kippax

I still have this problem with the terraces. I feel that they should be right behind the goal, touch the net.
Imagine the pressure.

not always, but then that's sometimes down to ground you are in. I remember getting coins chucked at us when down at the den, fucking horrible ground to be an away fan. I remember there being a walk way going under the away section and the home cunts running through chucking what ever that had small enough to get through the wire mesh sides.

My dad was saying West Ham was bad. You had to walk through their fans when you were leaving or something and it was a case of just fuckin run and get a few whacks

Standing would be great.

get to about 70,000.

Who cares is some seats go empty ?

At least those trying to make money by selling dud tickets outside the ground will be finished.

And i don't care if people from all over the world want to watch City. I think it is great , we have no grounds for complaints.

This club is doing everything the correct way.

A model for other clubs to follow. Like Newcastle for example.Rather they get the chance than Scouse 1 or 2.

The worst ground was always St Andrews in the 70s at least. No protection inside as I recall. I wasn't there but I remember the complaints in the match programmes - back in the day!! :D :D
