Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

In less than 48 hours we will know the fixtures for the coming season already! They are published 09:00 BST on Thursday morning
Over the last 10 seasons we’ve had only 4 home starts to the season, opposed to 6 away, the same can be said for last game of the season.
The last time we were home on the final day was 2014/15 season with a 2-0 win against Southampton.
Typically, we open against “also runs” with just 2 openers against top 6 sides (Spurs in 10/11 & Arse last season).
Of the last 10 Boxing day fixtures we’ve only had 4 at home, the last one being against Sunderland in 15/16 season.
The New Year fixture (30/12-02/01) we’ve had 5 home and away.
Last time we lost on the opening day of the season was 17th August 2008 away to Villa (2-4)
So, come 10th August who do you us to start the season against???
Me, i want us to start by going to the swamp and smashing them 5+ just to crush every rag player and supporters dreams for the rest of the season.

Would be decent to start at home after the last two years we played away.

Leaked fixtures on the daily mail say we are away at wolves and it's on Monday night.
FFS it should be banned from being a weekday for the opening game.

If this turns out to be correct, we should join the Spaniards & Germans in getting Monday night games binned off. Possibly the worst night to have football never mind the fact that we've had it for so long already

Agree absolutely. Apart from Carragher, is there anyone in the country who wants it?

I'm pissed off if it is the Monday. I'll be on the plane back from Portugal while we're playing if that's the case. I should have known though. It's the Wife's birthday too and we've played on it for the last two seasons.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

How about this slant from the BBC item today on the fixtures coming out tomorrow ?
"Manchester City, who finished one point clear of European champions Liverpool, will be aiming to win the Premier League for a third season in a row."
Isn't the Premier League THE title to win ?

1 point or 10 points who gives a fuck?! We won it. These twats in the media are desperate to give Liverpool something for finishing second.

Well Mase , with reference to City , all that was needed was "City will be aiming to win the Premier League for the third season in a row".
i'd rather not have scouse2 mentioned in the same breath as PG's Record Breakers .

There is a piece in the Evening News suggesting this is bollox
The season should start on Friday night not Sat dinner time
The TV companies don't choose the games theyre covering straightaway.
There is a spelling mistake in there.
Summat like that. We'll see
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.
