I know its only a friendly but going back to last season they used the same eleven or twelve players all season and totally depend on three or four , Salah , Mane , Firmino and Van Dick . No fucking way will they improve on last season it was a fluke and there squad simply isn't big or strong enough to sustain another season like the last .

The Supercup in Germany isnt a friendly and the Supercopa in Spain isnt either. Why should the Community Shield, which is the same (league vs cup winner), be treated any differently?

Because it always has been ,

But I bet money it will only be classed as a friendly
If we win it . If the vermin win it it will be a meaningful trophy , and they will have laid down marker for the coming season

any game where you can make 6 substitutions isn’t a ‘proper’ one

The Supercup in Germany is definitely a glorified friendly and ridiculed by locals in the same manner as the Community Shield if counted as a "trophy". Not sure how the Spanish feel about theirs, but to me they are all exhibition games and nothing more.

Hi Guys.

Anyone know how long it takes to get the tickets for the Community Shield?

I booked three tickets for me the wife and grandson on the website on July 17th and haven't received anything yet.

I wouldn't normally worry but I got my season ticket yesterday and this has always been last minute in the past.

Should I hang on or should I get in contact?

Many thanks

It's not a major trophy but it's not a friendly either. The club will be out to win it anyway even if some fans aren't arsed.

truly a no win situation. if we beat them, we've wasted our energy on a meaningless friendly with dippers wisely saving themselves. if we lose, we'll hear how pep will never beat klopp and dippers are now favourites for the PL (but of course somehow the pressure is still on us). either way, this match gives them a chance to hobble one or two of our key players before the PL even begins. would prefer to have pep send out the EDS tbh.

Dippers are in a mess and there 3 best players unavailable . And the Community Shield offers players a chance to get fitter for the new PL season so why have a rest ??? Your post makes no sense whatsoever ?

Depends on who you're playing as to whether it's a friendly.
But it certainly doesn't count as a trophy.

Unless the rags win it of course.
