Cant be true. Other clubs have previously won the double

13 years since the thieving murderers played in their last one.

City played in it in the early 70s, 73 or 74, when we weren’t cup or league winners, because one of the other teams didn’t want to take part. And we won it that year.

Just think, they are in another competition that, by the very nature of it, they have no right to be there. They could actually win 2 competitions by not even qualifying for them by right!

It was 72. Derby were reigning champions and Leeds FA Cup holders. Both didn't want to play, so City (4th in Division 1) and Villa (champions of Division 3) ended up playing it at Villa Park.
City won 1-0.
I've no idea why these two particular sides ended up playing the match, maybe someone can tell us more?

City played Burnley too around that time, Burnley last winning something pre-Agincourt.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

Who should be there then? I fucking HATE the scousers but we have to play someone today and they won the CL and came 2nd, hard to think another team deserves to be there more than them, painful as it is to admit

What's a corrupt Champions League got to do with what happens domestically?

Ok, I get that, so answer my question - who should be playing us today?

I think if it's one place for the Prem and one for the FA Cup then Watford and Liverpool should have had a game to see who gets it. Why should it be the Prem? They're both runners up.

Glorified friendly...that we need to show up for to silence their fans and their media lovers...which of course, if we lose is not reflective of us and the media and their fans will act like is the end of our "reign."

I'm staying in Quarteira, Portugal so gonna set of at 1 and walk down to Vilamoura marina. There's a few bars down there showing it and serving better fare than our hotel. Estrella in plastic pots goes warm in no time. IPA or Guinness for me this afternoon. Wife and daughter off to the waterpark next door. Come on City.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.
