Get rid of Stones next summer. Not worth having a player fit for 5 games a season. Maguire wasn't the answer and yet we chased him for a summer.

Its very bad situation.
Honestly lads saying we "will be fine" are wrong, we wont be fine, these injuries will cost us points in the league. There is no doubt about that.

Before a ball was kicked this season i was 95% we would win the PL. Now with long term injuries to Sane and Laporte and with Stones as reliable as a chocolate teapot, I'd reassess down to maybe 50%.
Injuries are part and parcel of the game, of that there's no question, and what is also in no doubt is they can be the difference between winning and clapping

If we get rid of stones that leaves us needing to splash 150 + million two centre backs to replace stones and vinny.

I think three top centre backs and one kid is plenty but I thought it was Otamendi we'd be replacing next summer, looks like it will be Stones now.

I would agree. Not writing off the season by all means. But losing key players definitely reduces our chances. Still it's only September. Never know what will happen. Never know pep might convert Walker into world class CB

Injured or fucked off by Pep, I hate digging out a player but he is for me heading back to Everton,
He has done nowt like Mendy for close on 2 seasons, I loved his clearance to deny the vermin, but other than that what ? Carried by Vinny like Otter. So for me he is going backwards, Maybe needs to stop the Cheshire shag club membership.......

If we need to spend it we need to spend it. The season Pep came in we spent big on players we needed.
Hopefully Pep will use Foden to replace Silva and that will save us money.
Garcia will be a year older also.

Pep always said his ideal team was 11 midfielders, he might get a chance to try it now.
Anyway, good for him for not whining about it.

Stones played 24 Premier League games last season so I don't get where the 5 games a season is coming from.
We were superb with the Laporte/ Stones partnership first part of last season. Problem came when Stones got injured and he didn't get that early season form back.
Otamendi was definitely 4th choice last season as seen by the stats. That's why he wanted out for more game time. He nearly messed up at Bournemouth a few weeks ago chesting the ball down to their guy in the 6 yard box, he messed up Saturday and cost us.
We've heard about playing Fern and Walker at CB. We've got the youngsters as well. Chances are we are going to concede more. We'll just have to score more at the other end. We were shit Saturday and still had the chances to win.

Bonkers. Stuff of amateurs not solving the defensive problem.

I am angry as fuck, but this might be a huge oportunity us in a good way.
Give Garcia or another kid a chance, what's the worst that can happen? We lose a game.
I love Fern to bits, but if we play him as a defender we really are cowards.

100% pep will play fern at CB. he gives zero f*cks about developing the kids. hence why foden cant get a look in even while gundo and silva have been shocking.

You know what, fuck it. Just focus on us and winning our matches and we SHOULD be fine. KDB was out pretty much most of last year and we still won the league.
Fern and Otter should be okay for most matches. We're City! We pissed the league 100 points the other year.
Focus on winning our matches and forget about Liverpool getting injuries or murdering their own/other fans.
Just do us and we'll be fine.
