He should be crucified for some of his offsides.

Happy to see Gundo and Mahrez have strong games.

That one goal they made together was a brilliant piece of football and teamwork.

Sad that they are either whipping boys or ones who somehow don't deserve to start for us in any kind of game that feels necessary to win.

Mahrez played a key role late last season, so didn't understand why some felt he couldn't start and Gundo just signed a contract surely with some assurances he'd get more games.

It's interesting how that last bit seems completely lost on some of our fans and even podcasts where that seems to not be recalled as why he almost left.

Gundo is very good going forward with his vision and passing and I don't have any problems with him against almost any side as an 8.

Also, yes Jesus offsides issues are hard to forget but the goal with his weaker foot was quite impressive. I think he will have a strong season.

Towards the end of the season he barely played. Which matches are you thinking of late in the season where he played a key role?

I think the facts are the first half of the season he was overplaying and didn't look like he fit in at all. He did score the winner at Spurs which was great. But he did also miss a penalty at Anfield.

Now he's not doing that and getting well deserved praise for playing well.

He played a very key role last game of the season at Brighton.

Maybe the one in which he missed the penalty and almost cost us the league

He said late in the season.

I don’t agree he played a key role, although he did score our only goal against Bournemouth in the run in and he scored the third goal which secured the result in the final game against Brighton.

No he didn't

Aguero played a "very key role" against QPR to put things in to perspective

Agreed. No "key role", but for the games he did get minutes in he started to fit in with the team more and played well.

He is actually the only one that knows how to take a fucking corner from our squad.

He played 2 of the last 3 games I believe and definitely the last one and I believe the FA cup final as well no?

This is part of our problem at corners that is often ignored. Gundo can take a good corner too.

He played 1 of the last 5 Prem games of the season mate. He didn't play a key role at all.

Tell you who did play a fairly key role end of last season though - Gundo. Made me do a complete u-turn on wanting him to sign on again.

If you score the 3rd goal when you're 2-1 up and we're all shitting it knowing if it's 2-2 we've blown the league that's not a key role.
Sorry i stand corrected.

PLAYED a key role, and scoring an semi important goal that gives us breathing space are two different things imo. But agree to disagree.

I think Gundo is one of the worst corner takers I've seen. Always at the near post.
KDB and Silva also.

Fantastic how players with such quality are so bad at that.

Your anti-Mahrez trope is getting a bit played out at this point - especially since he's been playing quite well. Time to find a new player for you to hate
