Very satisfying performance that , Pep giving squad players plenty of game time . We usually start to hit full throttle around early October then come into our own February onwards when the pressure is right on . Can’t see this season being any different even with last saturdays abomination.

I've been saying it since we signed him. Didn't have the best of starts for us but I think he's a class act who is only going to improve over the next few years.

With a few more year of development I think Zench will be a perfect replacement (or better) for Gundo. Having said that, Gundo had a wonderful game for us today

Yeah, I saw that. I just assumed he would be tried in the Rodri role. That does, somehow, make sense to me.

Decent is his limit I think. And there's nothing wrong with that. He'll be a decent squad player to have. Wouldn't rely on him at Anfield or OT, but similar to Gundo, he's useful to have.

Thought Jesus was class again and picked up where he left off. Seems to have really kicked on this summer.

Mahrez was superb. Scores important goals as well. 1st last night, only goal at Spuds and Bournemouth last season.

A video doing the rounds on social media showing pep giving the whole squad in Shakhtar extra training on the pitch after the game last night . We mean business big time and I fear for Watford on Saturday.

Some people are easily pleased when it comes to players performances. KDB, Sterling, Bern, Silva, Aguero - they all set the standard of "superb".

I'm just glad we have a manager that's never pleased with decent.

IMO He should try and hit some of these chances immediately instead of trapping the ball to wrong foot the defender and then trying to place it in the net...he seems to do this more often than not.

Just an observation mind.

Jesus was superb. Scores important goals as well. 3rd last night, only goal at Southampton (100pts season).

I'd agree Jesus was superb. His stats in 2019 are superb for goals and assists- City and Brazil.
I'm glad Pep doesn't settle for decent too. That's why he replaced the 2016 full backs and had Otto as 4th choice centre back.

I saw a stat the other day that Sancho is involved in a goal every 95 mins.

I like the stat about Jesus more though. Very good player and still really young.
