One Player from the Past

One Player from the Past

Postby Mase » Fri Sep 20, 2019 5:58 pm

If you could bring back one player in their prime to play in this City team who would it be and why?

I think we're all set for attackers, so I'd probably bring back Terry Phelan. Solve our left back problem no problem.

Keith Curle.

Him and Laporte would be immense as a partnership.

Mase, I see your Terry Phelan and I raise you Paul Power

Dave Watson at the back for me
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

Left City the year after I was born. My dad's mentioned him a few times. Decent?

I'd love a prime Tevez back. One of the best I've seen in a City shirt imo.

Yeah. Decent left back and he could also play left side midfield. Had a decent cross and could take a decent dead ball. Something a few of our current lads would do well to master

Tony Book was right back; it is Pardoe we should bring back for left back, better than Phelan and Power, IMO. Still our youngest ever first team player I think.

In this team it would have to be Colin Bell or Kinkladze.

Bell would be my choice too but just for a bit of controversy how about Matt Busby?

My grandad also used to tell me of his exploits in the 1930s....

Tevez for me. He’d kill it.

Otherwise I’d love to see how some of our less star names would get on in this team. Maybe that’s just because if Ireland playing in Vinny’s testimonial though haha.

A fit Lakey could have played any position in this team.

Right now, Dave Watson.

However, a young Yaya in all other circumstances. Uniquely brilliant, cake aside.

Pardoe was brilliant until Best broke his leg. Burt - what are you thinking about? :D

For the question - Denis Tueart because he didn't miss all the chances this lot do!
