The reality is, as many know now, the media is in the 'istree clubs pockets, literally. I was naive in thinking that the media were a bastion of openness and even reporting but after reading about how big business pays for the media to report favourably, or detrimental to certain businesses, you realise that journalism is dead and capitalism is rife within the industry.

The club were naive, eyes are open now.

Excuses I've read from dippers is that no one should care because it happened 6 years ago.... completely forgetting that the "football leaks" shit was all about things that happened around the same period

The other excuse is that "we didn't get any good signings out of it" - which is like saying "Sure I robbed the store, but the register was empty before I got there". It also ignores the fact that the info could have prevented making dud signings, which you wouldn't be able to tell from just looking at their transfers
