A squad full of sick notes?

Mendy
KDB
David Silva
Aguero
Stones

All of these key players are routinely out for a month or so every season now. That's not including Sane and Laporte.

Compare that to Liverpool who have had Salah, Mane and VVD out for periods, but never seemingly as long and maybe only Salah gets injured each season now.

Is it training methods or the players?

Kun's injury record has improved, but it is hard not to notice. In this year's version of the game Football Manager 3 of these are listed as injury prone:

Mendy
Silva
and now KDB (who wasn't listed that way before)

Kun used to be but that's changed and I expect Stones to get that designation in next year's game.

I know a lot of people moan about Sergio barely getting in the team of the year a lot of times, but the guy is constantly injured and misses huge chunks of the season. Then takes 4-5 games to get up to speed. That's the reason he's never in.

I hope mendy gets injured again and stays injured till we sell him - how anyone who would want him playing ahead of Angelino seriously needs to have a word with themselves.

A player in his 30's carrying any old issues is not going to get through a season at Peps level of intensity, I think that what he was saying to the directors when he looks frustrated. We do need some legs and Fizz like Foden gave us last night. My pal said Foden is doing what Mane does for the vermin, he also got the crowd noise up

It’s weird that dippers do not have the injury problems we do, every season we have long injuries. Dippers more or less play same team every week

Vinnies worldy masked a night of chasing Maddison and Co, A warning we are entering the end of an amazing period for some great players, just like it was with Yaya and Zabs.

Even allowing for the fact I am on the outside of a few pints and a bottle of Merlot, I still do not understand this post

He's not wrong. Foden plays like he's on speed.

I think Hazy's saying the legs are going on a few players.

Ah now come on if he played for the rags or vermin he would be getting serious love.
Absolutely no doubt about that whatsoever.

I hate to say it, but I've thought this for a few years now as our fans have used the evidence he's not won any awards.

Love Sergio, but let's be real, he's never played a full season for us as far as I can recall.

Magnificent player who's one of the best, but it has hurt his reputaiton.

I'd say KDB is suffering the same problem.

This summer I was in Phillipines and met a Barca fan from Madrid, oddly enough. Very cool guy, but he didn't really know who KDB was because he was out when we had out when we played Spurs and hasn't done it in CL at all.

Injuries are another reason why some of our best players aren't as recognised if you think about it.

I think it is worth mentioning that our players do not get the same level of protection from officials as certain other clubs' players get.

True. And when I mentioned Aguero I forgot to mention he gets kicked up and down the pitch most matches.

I am saying in possession we are great, we pass the teams to death, turn the ball over and we are like the dog and duck, scrambling back.

Liverpool went out of the domestic cups at the first opportunity last season. It led to them playing 10 games less, while we did the domestic clean sweep.

Hopefully this season extra matches will take their toll. I agree with the comments on referee's protecting their players and ours getting regularly hacked down.

The feral nature of their supporters generally puts fear and extra pressure on officials. This is the deliberate atmosphere, they try to create, so official's fear for their safety. This would be the only reason for Oliver not giving the blatant handball at Anfield, other than blatant corruption and with VAR backing up ref's bad calls this season, it might be more likely "blatant corruption"?

He featured in less than 30 league games in just 2 of his 8 seasons so far.

I don’t see it as a reason he hasn't got the recognition.

As to our injuries in general, something is amiss with conditioning, far too many pulled muscles, strains and cramp. Nothing you can do about Sane, Laporte, Zinchenko.. we're just unfortunate it all came together but the number of muscle injuries suggests someone's not doing their job properly.
