So basically its huge

I'm not sure about that, mate, the money will go straight to the Sheikh, not the club, and we wouldn't be able to spend it on players anyway due to FFP. There's obviously some other purpose, other than the Sheikh sticking half a billion in the bank, and I'm looking forward to seeing the strategic plan unfold.

Investment in tech, you say? Forms of media output, you say?

Could be interesting.

Brilliant Interview With Khaldoon

Even mentions the relationship with Pep.

This news, with other things such as our special guest last night at the game, will have the Rag hoards shedding salty tears everywhere.

The Sheikh doesn't pocket anything it seems. Silverlake are putting 500M into the group and in exchange they get a 10% stake in the business. Presumably new shares which have watered down the Sheikh's investment but kept it above the important 75% mark. It's another 500M for the group to spend. I don't imagine they'll splurge it on players, but more likely the sound of it is investment in technological infrastructure.

We never had any inkling of what the Chinese 200M (?) was used for - did we?

I see the Beeb still end the article on the positive spin of us still facing the prospect of a chumps league expulsion and FFP sanctions - the bitter bastards

Yes, mate, was just saying that it will be used for ‘other’ things rather than direct into the Sheikh’s pocket.

The timing of this and the statement from the Chairman on this and Pep is absolutely spot on. The club has got it right.

That is an organisation that hid a paedophile for decades.

Some of that investment is going towards building NYCFC their own stadium. They currently use the New York Yankees baseball stadium for games.
