Zinchenko playing in his preferred midfield position.
Subs | Carson, Walker, Sterling, Jesus, Mahrez, Garcia, Doyle

Should be good enough to beat these comfortably. Would’ve been nice to see Doyle start but I dare say he might make it off the bench

Would feel more assured Pep playing Garcia instead of Stones. Zinch further upfield in his natural position too. Come on City.

Slightly surprised Aguero starts since he'll presumably start on Tuesday. I suppose he’ll be favourite to come off after 60. Maybe needs the minutes.

Wonder if Stones has read what their player said. If so I'd expect him to pick up a yellow at some point.

I think it’s just Pep treats each game with the upmost respect. He knows the Port Vale players and fans alike want to see the best players in a game like this. Rather like the second leg v Burton last year in the League cup semi.
Plus you are probably right about the minutes as he was the one sacrificed against Wolves early doors

I reckon zinchenko is left back and angelino wide left forward like against oxford.
Should be straight forward given the team we have out.

Commented on how much Stones earns and then said if he played against him every week he'd score 40 goals a season.

Hopefully Garcia is just being rested because he's starting against United.
It's good to see Foden playing again.
