The best ever atmosphere English football has ever witnessed . The Etihad a year ago when we beat the bin dippers , turn up the volume and enjoy

We only turn the volume up when we can be arsed - more often than not the atmosphere at Etihad is shite.

The Hamburg match was a better atmosphere IMO.


Main Road was a real atmosphere compared to what we have now.

Hamburg was my first thought.

Real Madrid was quite good until Kompany went off after 5 minutes and that was that!

Hamburg was unreal.
And it effected the players massively and gave them a lift.

I'd never seen Elano perform like he did that night. Even Big Phil was on it. We won the match but lost the tie - no player or fan could be blamed, we were all class that night.

The Hamburg game was incredible. I was in the north stand and even there everyone was standing and singing for the entire game.

The effort from everyone was incredible that day - players and fans.

Mainly let down by Richard Dunne’s ridiculous tackles and Hughes’ complete failure to see he was going to be sent off (even when everyone else in the ground could see it coming).

Elano was immense that night and Hughes took him off when we were still chasing another goal!

Caicedo’s celebration when he made it 2-1 was brilliant. Exemplified the emotion we all felt that night.
