The obsession to have a "story" behind each and every kit seems to override what should be the main factor of having a bloody good design that us fans want to wear. As others have mentioned, who at the club is signing off on them?

The 125 shirt is brilliant and if the new shirt had been designed around that, I have no doubt it would have been the best selling shirt ever. Sadly......

I think there is a bit of 'the King's new clothes' about it: the designers and marketing people put together a great story about what it means and then the people reading it think they would seem like idiots if they said 'Yes, but it looks crap'!

city should become the first team to have fan designed kits voted for by season ticket holders.

Or if you leave 10 minutes early and manage to get home for Britain’s Got Talent you get the prize of picking next season kit.

I’d have picked every kit since 1995!

As much as I'd like us to have a proper kit, the club are marketing shirts to kids/youngsters from all over the world. They can't design them based on the tastes of a load of 48 year old season ticket holders.

While I agree with that, I do find it hard to believe that this particular example is to anyone's taste!

18, 28, 38, 48, even 58+ would find this gopping!

We’ve got to accommodate Asia. They’re what’s most important.

The dark blue shorts fractionally improve the look.

And boy do I mean fractionally.

What the hell is wrong with Puma?!

And why have City just agreed to forget about our traditional colours?! Proof if anyone needed it that we’re heading down the road of it being all about money.

On the plus side, if all the games are behind closed doors, you can wear the crap shirt at home and no one will see you so no need to be embarrassed.....
