How Would They Vote?

If the season couldn’t be finished, how would the PL clubs vote to curtail the season?

I keep looking at the table and can see more than 6 voting to call it null and void, but there’ll be serious pushback and pressure from certain clubs to find a way to stop it.

Leicester will be part of the group to complete the season as they will want that CL spot, so to the Rags and definitely the Dippers. Looking at the bottom it’s a bit more difficulty to call once you get past the bottom 6 who will want it voided.

Thoughts?

Bottom six as it stands have got to vote void to remain safe? That would leave 14. As you say, both the red shites will want to carry on plus leicester which leaves 11.
We would vote void which takes the voids to seven - would Everton want to void I reckon not
So that would be seven for void and imagine they would need the majority I.e. eleven for a consensus. Whose left?
Spurs complete
Chelsea ? Probably voewith G4 so complete
Arsenal complete
Wolves complete
Burnley already made their choice complete
Sheff utd euro place void

Not looked at the table for the remainder of the places....

They all lick Liverpool’s arse so they’ll all want to finish it.

I think 13 or 14 are needed for a rule change/deviation. However, in this situation, both scenarios available (i.e. extending beyond the current season window and declaring the season null and void) require changes to the rules, and I have no idea if there is a contingency for voting rules in a situation where the only options available involve 'breaking' the current rules.

The rules don’t matter. They can change them whenever they want.

What makes you sure City would vote void? I read something yesterday which states we stand to lose the second most financially if season is voided.

Also not sure about Sheffield United, they still have a chance at CL football if season is finished, especially if our ban is upheld.

Because then we’re still champions of England?

The club don't think like fans do, the financial implications will mean more to them.

Could you imagine the PR fallout for UEFA if we were deemed to fall foul of FFP rules because we continued to pay all of our staff in full through this?

There's reports of some relaxing of FFP, no indication what exactly that may be yet.

All 20 clubs would vote for the season to be completed if there is any substance to the stories speculating the PL and in turn the clubs will forego in the region of £1Billion.

They need to balance the books and for any club, this sort of brass cant be written off

I'd be wary of any figures mentioned, whilst I dont doubt it will be a fair few bob, the press in the main are still pushing the scouse narrative for the completion of the season. Ultimately, no-one has the first idea what will happen to prize money if the season cannot finish as everything will be unprecedented

It's not just prize money, it's TV money and sponsorship money too that will be affected.

Apologies, I didn’t mean to vote for the season to be closed but instead, if the season couldn’t be completed how would they vote to divide up the money/positions? I’m fairly certain that they will be saying that they are willing to play as they will not have broken any of the contracts therefore still entitled to their share.

Spurs would surely go for void as they would still be in the CL next season. Leicester would be the opposite. Chelsea, well they’re under a bit of pressure from the Rags so surely they’d want it voided?

There would be one vote - Manchester City out

Cunts one and all — saw a good one today

If you had to sacrifice one football club
To rid the world of Coronavirus why would you choose Liverpool
