French Government says no football till September including closed doors. PSG in last 8 of CL, Lyon in last 16. CL cannot now be finalised in August as planned.

They might not get back into France if they can even leave in the first place. I doubt the British Government has the balls to stand up to the Premier League though. Bunch of wet lettuces.

Also on the news tonight - ANY lockdown relaxation other than some kids (certain years) back to school will push our current 0.6 R value above 1.0, so will not be allowed due to fear of a second wave of the virus.

I suspect some medium-long term planning about potential backups countries to play the EPL in is being looked at right now.

They've been dying to get games played outside England and haven't done so out of fear of a public backlash. They'll never get a better opportunity to normalize it than this. All you need is two stadiums (likely in the middle east) to fulfill a weekend load of Premier League fixtures.

Be it the 39th game, a European Super Leauge or World Club Cup, change was coming, it's just going to happen a lot sooner than we thought.
