Here is to you Vincent Kompany

Almost one year since THAT moment.
How did you celebrate?

I recall it was near midnight here in Romania, when I saw that going in I started running around the house, shouting, probably crying also, scaring the shite out of my missus who was sleeping,
If I had a flare I would had probably light it on fire

Made in heaven!

I was in Crete at a friends wedding for 2 weeks. We were all gathered around a laptop at the bar in the hotel watching it, apart from one of my mates that was stuck in his room with two kids. There was a delay of 30 seconds on our screen and he text “What a goal” before we’d seen it.

I never want to relive the nerves I had for those last few games of the season ever again.

What the fuck is up with the video quality? Did he score this in 2001?

Sat right behind it in L2 of North Stand. That period of games was one long piss-up - leicester, spuds, red shite, burnley and finally brighton

I think Burnley was the only game I wasn’t smashed for. Literally made sure I was pissed out of my head before the matches even began because I was that nervous

The days and kick-off times helped - out all afternoon for] leicester and the red shite, burnley and spurs early doors start and Brighton was silly oclock. Also helped that I was working from home during that period and able to get out on the piss early for all those games as couldn't imagine being there sober for any fthem

That was THE goal, among all of the goals, that was the one.

We will never get the credit we deserve for the treble, and absolute travesty. If the murderers had done it they'd be making space on Mount Rushmore for a sculpture of that cunt Klippety.

The goal was on par with his header against the Rags the first time we won the league and we beat them 1-0.

I remember I watched it in an absolutely packed Mary D’s and beer was flying everywhere when he scored that header.

I watched it from 110, and half the ground missed it because they were all queuing up for pies.

I think he jumped equally high in his celebration after each one! I did too.
