Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I think there is a bit more to this saga. City are asking 30M for him. And i read they still feel he could be pursuaded to stay.
I dont think this is ultimately Pep's decision, i think the club are playing a tactic of buying more time OR we get a good return on the investment, they will take either.
So i don't think he will be sidelined, ratther is likely to play games. Maybe i'm reading it wrong but it isn't as simple as a lot of you are making out. imo.

we must not let him go for a ridiculously low price. 30 mill 50% sell on.

Barca have apparently offered an opening bid of £14M.
Think we will hold out for more. With Ake in the bank we can afford to be a bit more choosy

Exactly. If we have to wait the 12 months and he goes on a free so be it. £14 million won’t make a dent. And no point adding a sell on clause as hell stay at Barca his career.

They can stick the 14M up their catalán arses. Either double it and settle on something closer to 25 and you can be there for next season start or you're here for 12 months

I don't understand what is the point of playing him. Doesn't want to stay here, fuck off to the reserves and give some game time to another kid.

Now that's a bit harsh.
Wait until the 15 m is in the bank first.

You’re right. Hopefully a few others are on there with him.

The thing is that there is no point in playing him. He is not vital to the squad to play him. Since he refused the contract, he played more and more and more. Why? If he doesn't have any future here.
At this point, I would give time to Harwood-Bellis

Baldie benches players who are on form and plays players who have no future with us.
I'm tired.

He looks slower each game to point where looks like teams targeting space between him and walker. Ever since second goal v arsenal in cup semi like he has lead boots on when turning to go back to goal. Looked very promising when came in but if offered £15m I’d snap hands off now. Played decent first half but seriously think lack of pace in our back line asking for trouble

Was hoping we would get this season out of him before he leaves. He looked great when he burst through but hasn’t kicked on the way we hoped he would. I guess he is still very young for a centre half and is obviously still just learning his craft so maybe if he isn’t gonna commit to us longer term then it would be best if Harwood-Belis was given the opportunity instead. No point in having Garcia learn with us then fuck off at the end of the season. If he was up to scratch then that would be a different matter. Be worth keeping then as a back up
But let’s see if Barca have any cash first.
