Nathan Ake

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Nathan Ake

Will be a really good signing for this fee for a HG player of his quality and the position that has so few who can meet the required standards.

Chelsea had a 40m buy back clause, and I recall we were quoted 60m(?) last season when rumours were swirling.

Maguire would be 55m more. That's mad.

Sad for Stones. Wonder where he will wind up assuming he's off.

I'd say Arsenal because he fits their style and Arteta knows him, but the mistakes are something that they are going to be wary of.

Maybe back to Everton?

Perfect signing as back up left sided centre half.

Next a top class right footed one.

Then we can shift stones and otter out.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Far too classy for Stones that mate
Probably go old school and a 3litre bottle of white lightning and a six pack of Special Brew consumed on a park bench

We didn't fare too badly with the last 'Chelsea reject' we signed.

Have always thought Ake a good player, usually their mom against us, left sided too, good tackler, reads game, would be good asset imho

It will probably drag on for weeks if not for months. Like they all do these days.

If this pans out part of the reason is he can also play LB and CDM where we also have depth problems.

Be interesting to see which of stones and otamendi stay if this comes off. May both be out, but I’m genuinely curious which pep would keep if only one goes.
Tracking back is overrated.

I see that rags are sniffing round him now, with their usual "copy City" scouting policy.

If he wants to go there let him go. Give him the choice. It’s worked well for us so far with Fred, Sanchez and Maguire.

It’s well known the Bournemouth chairman is a City fan, so if we really want Ake we’ll be okay.

Does that mean we're not getting Kobs from Napoli? We need that monster if want to retain the title

From the rumours it appears we're trying for both. Stones and Otamendi out, that pair in.
