Ake is underwhelming for me no better than we have.

As a squad player I see him as an upgrade to stones, not a major one, but he’s not coming here to be first choice.
I am confident we will be signing him plus a first 11 grade CB this summer

Come on, Hazy, we both have a lamp in our home that is better than Stones.
I see Ake as a bargain.

Pep will probably turn him into a midfielder.

An inverted left back is my guess.

ZERO errors leading directly to a goal in 117 games for Bournemouth.
That's already a massive upgrade on Stones, Otter, Mendy, Zinchenko

They’ve probably contributed 117 errors between them!

Ake’s WhoScored rating for the season was 0.05 better than Otter...

This is it.
We really need more defenders who don't make stupid fuckups.

That is not to say he hasn't made errors which haven't led directly to a goal though. The goalie might have saved his blushes?

These type of stats are ok but you cant judge a player on them. There are lots of factors which determine whether a player is a successful one

Whilst what you write is true. I wonder how those Stats of Henderson put him ahead of Tin Tin in the voting by the sports writers ? Perhaps it's the things we don't see with Henderson that make him superior in the eyes and minds of the sports writers ( or the money thes sleaze characters get - 'paid off').

I would argue that all defenders are bound to make the occasional mistake in our set-up. We play a high risk game, trying to play our way out of high press, and often leaving our defenders very exposed. Even van Dijk would look dodgy every now and then in our team.

None of the above - it could have been any dipper player and they would have done the same- they are just dipper supporting vermin.

Maybe his Right Guard advert has swung it? Anything Vermin has NO value it’s to be treated as such.

He'll play in 3 positions.

CB
CDM
LB

Useful to have as he's technically strong, has some pace, and is solid in defence.

Improved squad player compared to Otamendi, Stones and arguably the Zinch (Will he be sold?) and is HG so Stones can leave and we're fine there.

All that makes him a good signing. Can't see much reason for complaint.
