Unbelievable!

varane was under no pressure, its a monumental cock up nothing more if stones did it he would be slaughtered

He wouldn’t have cocked up though is Gab wasn’t making a nuisance of himself.

Indeed. That's why Pep played the high press against Real, to disrupt their style of play.
And he will do whatever he needs to do against BM to disrupt their style of play too.

We ran that game, no luck involved, and the only thing we were guilty of was the usual, poor finishing.

You need to remember, we scored two goals in this game. We could have scored none and still would have gone through.

We cruised this. Against the Spanish Champions.

When you take the tension out and look back on that game, we were well in charge for the vast majority of it.

7 clear sights of goal we failed to either shoot or scuffed it we also messed up 3 overloads with piss take no look pass. We need to sort this out as much as the centre of defence.

I worry what City fans see mate. From the start we identified the Madrid exit out of the back took it away and brought the keeper into play he is shite on the ball1-0 Jesus terrorising Varane has been ignored by the Cartel media, how City fans swallow this is fucked up IMO. Pep schooled Cartel 1 FFS our own fans must be blind, we need to finish better without a doubt this could cost us and will soon enough I fear. Look at the Barca game the ref could not wait to give penalties, Carvahal pushed Raheem to get his foot in Penalty BT and Rio silence.

I hope Nigel is in the Real Madrid forum page and starts a finishing thread for Benzema.

You're spot on. I'm as concerned as anyone by our woeful finishing, but it was glaringly obvious what the game plan was, and that it worked.
Real could do nothing about it, they can't play any other way.
And I'm amazed that people who are often criticizing Pep for changing things around seem to think that's what we'll do against BM or PSG.

Finishing was poor again but we did enough against a poor Real side. Job well done, move on
