Tomorrow they will announce the fixtures and the new season is due to start in 3 weeks.

What do we know so far about us.
I reckon the players need some time off after this fiasco, but I don't think that will happen.

What about friendlies?

Yes, our fixture against Villa is postponed so we start away at Wolves (no fans) on Saturday the 19th (unless moved to Sunday/Monday for TV).

Is it just me who is struggling to get enthusiastic about this season?

Normal service for the armchairs, absolute shambolic state of affairs for SC holders and match going fans alike . Totally underwhelming tbh , prob be new year before I attend a home game .

The lack of engagement in this thread would appear to suggest that there's a lot of apathy.

I’ve never been less excited for a season. Between lack of fans, short break, disappointment and Liverpool I just can’t get hyped. Come Game one I hope that changes.

I can't wait. Love that its back right away. Excited to see a "new" squad with a handful of turnover. Hoping to see us put up a better fight this season. The schedule and amount of football in close proximity will be madness and injuries and squad depth/rotation will be crucial more than ever. With the cups and intl football it's something like one match every 3-4 days for most of the season.

It’s hard to focus on anything other than business and various economies right now - Football without fans is shit and I have not enjoyed any of it .Hopefully the powers that be now understand how important the fucking fans areinstead of treating them like shit .

Part of the ‘99 team and is coaching the birds team - so he’s alright by me.

Would I bum him in to next week? Nah.

Thought elite sportsman and women were exempt? And they get tested twice a week so the 14 day thing doesn't count?

Mail probably just making it up as they go along!

How exactly is the tv viewing experience different without fans?

The fucking governments are making it up as they go along mate - Being exempt if your a worker but everyone else has to lock themselves up for 14 days is complete and utter total bollocks .

Fuck me sideways - my state of mind is reaching boiling point over these absurd measures .

P.s not every worker gets tested - that’s BS Excuse to justify then being exempt .

I know for a fact BA staff don’t get tested ,apart from temperature , and they are exempt from any 14 day lockdown bollocks.
