This seems to be the “latest” angle !

All the speculation is pointing to us it seems? That quote that I put in the media thread about the red shite being able to afford Messi but holding out for Sancho sounds very much like they've had the tip that he's coming here and they are spinning the bad news

He’s in Sardinia now sorry.
Yep. They’ve just got a French Bulldog (obviously a blue one). Must be nicer for him now he’s not smashing Maradona with a wig on.

A centre back, and left back, then a replacement for sergio.

If, IF, we were to spunk 100m on messi, I would rather that money went to finding sergs replacement, a player we potentially can have for 10 years.

No matter how lovely it would be, we dont NEED a short term aging superstar.

A nice dose of realism

This is pretty much where I stand on this. The plus of signing Messi would be incredible extra commercial growth which could fund a blow away signing and possibly a lure for other talent - Mbappe springs to mind would he play alongside him for one season?

I would like to assume that the City hierarchy are better at their jobs than people on an internet forum. Have faith.

I would most certainly hope so, they are paid very well to do so.
However we are entitled to an opinion.

Sooner spend the money on Mbappe myself. Can see the commercial benefits of signing Messi but the whole package of Mbappe is far more appealing to me
