You know perfectly well why Peter

We’ve been here many times before - used as leverage in contract negotiations

I hope he comes, it would be amazing fun to see him in PL even in the twilight of his career

25 goals and 21 assists just in the league last season.

Anyone that doesn’t want him at City likes to shit themselves on days out around Accrington.

Agreed. Even if he is shite for us, who wouldnt want to at least find out? Hed get 30 goals for us by not moving from the box minimum.

Even though I have mixed feelings about Messi “arriving” in Manchester (pep and tixi etc are his family ) longevity can be maintained in our project and business and Khaldoon did leave a hidden message in his interview yesterday about a relaxing of the age group signings .
Either way I can’t really see it happening BUT putting the jigsaw pieces together right now says a process has started for it to MAYBE happen .

Notwithstanding the on field improvements, the commercial benefits would be astronomical worldwide instant publicity, the good kind for a change, let’s see what happens

Sums it up for me as well.

Though the look on rag/dipper/sky presenters faces at the unveiling would be worth it

Here's the thing. Many reckon Gnabry , playing like a tosser at the Arse was tapped up by Bayern, who got him cheap.

Now suppose Little Lionel (for it is he, who is not as tall as Lionel Rashford) ,may have been limiting his play this year, just to get that CL win with our young Kun.

Massive investments going on in Manchester these days . Why not get the lad ? It's not like he has to play at Stoke on a rainy Wednesday night in the winter

Exactly Z. He’s no Kolarov, but why not take a punt on him.

People shouldn't worry about the finances.

Listen , if he does the Sheik a favour by playing for City for a couple of years. The owners will have him for the next ten years or more doing promotions, you know , those overpriced things that Tony Blair does. He'll make more money in the long run through non football activities , than selling the occasional shirt.

He’d cover his costs within the year I’d imagine!

Also Messi is the biggest world footballing icon , him saying I am leaving Barcelona means there is another offer on the table from another club which he wants to take up . Things are happening but is Manchester his destination ?

600,000 a week, that's a lot of shirts lads, we will run out of material.

To quote KK “I’d love it, love it, love it” (increasingly high pitched) if he did choose to reunite with Pep. It would be ridiculous to see him in the Prem in Blue! Foden Messi Raz and Kev running at defences would be jaw dropping.

Shirts ? shirts ? what's wrong with Lionel on womens nighties ? socks etc (let's not stoop to the whu notion of "items" for sale). The list is endless ,just ask the left over Beatles.

I just hope the side isn't gutted in order to get Messi. With earners like KDB, Sterling, and Aguero youd have to assume many will need to be sold to balance the books. You know UEFA will be hunting us down after this (if it happens).

Yes we all want Stones, Mendy, and Otamendi gone. But who is going to take them for decent money? Jesus and Gundogan and Zinchenko will likely need to go. Maybe even Bernardo Silva (I hope not).
