Some perhaps, but the primary stories out there are quite real mate.

Messi wants out & wants to join City are being reported by even the likes of Sid Lowe.

Yes his best years are behind him but he could still tear up the league, a frightening prospect for our rivals.

I’m a bit nervous about our change in policy of buying young players and not breaking our wage structure. Would also be concerned about squad being gutted to fit in the phenomenon that is Messi.

On the commercial side this could push us to a next level which could be potentially more attractive than the football / trophies side of things. Also the raising of prestige worldwide could be a tectonic shift.

All in all I would say go for it if he is willing.

That said I won’t be surprised if he works it out to stay at Barca.

And think of this - he rarely gets injured or misses games and he’s often kicked to shit each week .

Would you guys be happy to see Jesus, Bernardo, and/or Garcia go in order to get Messi for 2-3 seasons?

Imagine how this would impact how Sky projects City. Would we remain the bad guys? I seriously doubt it.

Could be great for the long term perception of the club.

As things are moving on, might not be the case.
But yeah, I would swap Jesus with Messi at any time and hour.

We are on the point (long point) on getting one of the best players that ever were in this game. And most of all, a player that has something to point.

Soon as he sinks his teeth into a Gregg's Sausage, bean and Cheese Bake he will have no regrets.

I'll gladly take him for two seasons, his wages will take care if themselves in revenue and sponsorship. Cannot see if troubling the wage structure as they will know it's not every day you get to play alongside the best in the world.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

The Chairman said in his interview that normally the Club profile is for 20-5 year olds but they would be flexible if the right opportunity arose. We all thought he was talking about Koulibaly but looks like he had Messi in mind as well.

If Messi leaves it wont be for nothing but it wont be anywhere near for 700 million either. Neither Messi nor Barca want this dragged out in the Courts. Of course a player exchange as part of a deal is possible. Garcia and Angelino definite possibilities. I wonder about Mahrez since he basically plays in Messi’s position.
